In Acts 2, we see the start of the spread of the Gospel throughout the world. In verses 1-4, the promise of the indwelling Holy Spirit becomes reality. In verse 5, all nations are represented in Jerusalem. In verses 6-12, those present are overwhelmed by what they see and hear. In verse 13, some present made rather cutting remarks claiming those speaking were drunk. In verses 14-16, Peter represented the event as fulfilling promised prophecy. In verses 17-18, they are prophesying. In verses 19-21, God provides all the proof that now is the time of salvation for those calling on the name of the Lord. In verses 22-26, Jesus’ resurrection is proof of His power to provide eternal life. In verses 27-28, God is ready to guide you and not abandon you. In verse 29, a reminder that David died and his body still rests in a tomb. In verses 30-32, David foresaw the life, death and resurrection of Christ. In Verses 33-35, Christ’s position is clearly at God’s right hand. In verse 36, may all the Jews know the Lord Jesus Christ. In verse 37, those present were asking what they could do. In verses 38-39, Peter responds, “Repent!” In verses 40-41, three thousand souls are saved. In verses 42-45, the new believers were united in support for one another. In verses 46-47, they regularly learned, fellowshipped and grew together.

I ask that God always provides the words to say.

I need to show respect for others.

When listening, it is better to evaluate the message and not the messenger.

I need to increase my knowledge of prophecy.

I thank God for not abandoning me.

Let everyone know that if they ever sinned, they are personally responsible for Christ’s crucifixion.

I need to help those in need.

In Psalm 145, we need to proclaim, praise and pass this knowledge to others. In verses 1-2, praising God is a daily activity. In verses 3-7, it is urgent to tell the next generation. In verses 8-16, knowledge is intended to be spread to others. In verses 17-19, God hears those calling out to him. In verse 20, God destroys the wicked. In verse 21, let everyone praise God.

I need to thank the Lord for His love.

I know he hears my cries for despair as well as my inner desires.

I need to remember to help educate the future generation.

I need to become open to God’s leading.

I thank and praise God for my life.

I want to become aware of everything I do that offends God.

In Psalm 138, I need to establish my life’s purpose based on God’s purpose for my life. In verses 1-4, God knows me thoroughly. In verses 5-6, He affects my life in ways beyond that even imagined. In verses 7-10, I am glad that I am never out of God’s reach. In verses 11-12, God even unveils the night with His light. In verse 13, my creation was orchestrated by God. In verses 14-16, I was not an accident. In verses 17-18, God’s thoughts are precious and numerous beyond human measure. In verses 19-21, my heart longs for the wicked to be gone. In verse 22, those in opposition hate God. In verses 23-24, Lord I want your leading.

I want to be open to your direction God.

I thank and praise God for life.

God help me to realize offenses.

I ask God to lead me from wickedness.

You ask why things are spinning out of control in our nation. Ask yourself where is God? God is infinitely wise and has the solutions to all the nation’s problems. The key to access this knowledge is in the Bible. Despite what our society says the Bible points out that everyone is born in sin and it states what sin is. It also warns about the failure of a nation if when it gets so far from God that it declares right as wrong and wrong as right. God alone is wise enough to define which is which. Every problem we currently face has always existed. And, yet, our society lies telling us we are evolving to a social structure that is constantly improving. Where is the evidence? God only works with people that are sinless. There is an advocate in Christ Jesus that helps resolve that issue for me personally so that God can work with me. He is limitless, because He can help you too.

In Psalm 133, the Lord will bless that which has precious unity with each other and Him. In verses 1-2, unity is not only precious, but it actually spreads. In verse 3, the Lord is the one that truly blesses.

In Psalm 129, those that hate Zion also hate God. In verses 1-2, just being oppressed does not mean you have lost. In verses 3-4, the Lord is able to provide freedom. In verse 5, shame will come upon those that hate Zion. In verses 6-8, Zion haters are up to no good.

I recognize that those in power that hate Zion should not be in power.

I need to ask God to not allow my enemies to get the best of me.

There are so many people that appear to be shell shocked with the frantic pace of change. The Bible predicts this as time marches on life on earth will hit a climatic ending such as never seen before. It will be much similar to a woman giving childbirth. I don’t know how I could handle it myself without Jesus Christ in my life. I can hand all the various life issues I face each day to Him, and trust Him to supply and provide direction each and every day. As life goes on, things I used to rely on disappear. It can be frightening, but I know within my heart that Jesus Christ has never gone away.

I ask that God will subdue the enemy.

In Psalm 142, we can depend on nothing other than God. In verses 1-2, feel free to complain to God. In verses 3-4, no others are truly concerned for you. In verses 5-7, God is my refuge and rescuer.

In Psalm 143, there is a need for prayer for mercy, preservation and victory. In verse 1-2, the cry out for mercy. In verses 3-4, the enemy is out to oppress me. In verses 5-6, I need to consider all the great works of God. In verses 7-10, I need to turn to God. In verses 11-12, request God to save from enemy.

I need to have a more teachable spirit.

In Psalm 144, it is truly amazing all the things God can do. In verses 1-2, God prepares me for what He has ahead in my life. In verses 3-4, amazingly God really cares for us. In verses 5-8, God will come and intervene if need be. In verses 9-10, I want to sing to the Lord. In verse 11, I need protection from foreigners. In verses 12-14, promises of provision and protection. In verse 15, we who are in the Lord are blessed indeed.

I need to praise God more often.

I need to consider the needs of others.

I need God’s blessing of my needs.

I need God’s direct intervention when I am tempted.

In Psalm 141, desire your prayers to be acceptable by keeping yourself guarded from evil with God’s help and power. In verse 1, seek God. In verse 2, pray to God, praise Him and be pleasing to him. In verses 3-4, God will help overcome evil. In verses 5-7, we must accept rebuke when it is given us by someone righteous. In verses 8-10, may our eyes always look upon God.

I want my prayers to be acceptable to God.

I want to be humble before the righteous.

In Psalm 140, God protects and provides for the needs of the upright from their enemy. In verses 1-2, the need is expressed for rescue and protection. In verse 3, the enemy is dangerous in speech. In verses 4-5, there is a need for protection from traps that are set up. In verses 6-7, a cry is made to the Lord to be the shield. In verse 8, a request is sent up for the wicked enemy’s plan to be foiled. In verses 9-11, stop their speaking and violence. In verses 12-13, God is for equality.

I realize I need God’s protection.

In Psalm 137, it is impossible to have true joy without restoration. In Verses 1-6, we should never ignore Jerusalem. In verse 7, remember the destruction caused by the Edomites. In verses 8-9, God is happy to repay those responsible.

In Psalm 138, I shall sing and give praise to a God that intercedes for me. In verses 1-3, praise is given to God. In verses 4-5, even the kings will praise God. In verse 6, the Lord watches over even the lowliest. In verses 7-8, there is security with the Lord.

I do need to praise God because he cares for me and the lowliest.

In Psalm 139, God is all-knowing with the capacity to lead and empower. In verses 1-4, He has thorough knowledge of me. In verses 5-6, His limits on me are for my benefit. In verses 7-10, God is ever present in my life. In verses 11-12, darkness will not hide me from God. In verses 13-16, I am designed, planned and created by God. In verses 17-18, God’s thoughts are precious to me. In verses 19-22, please remove my enemies, Lord. In verses 23-24, God will search me, and know how to lead me.

I need to seek the interest of others ahead of my own.

I want God’s thoughts to be my thoughts.

I want the Lord to lead me the way to go.

In Psalm 135, praise should be given to our vindictive and compassionate God. In verses 1-2, all praise deserves to God. In verse 3, let’s sing praise to God. In verse 4, both Jacob and Israel belong to God. In verses 5-7, everything reflects God ideas and power. In verses 8-10, God strikes earthly powers. In verse 11, God eliminates kings in power. In verse 12, Israel gains their lands. In verses 13-14, the Lord supports His own and vindicates them. In verses 15-18, nations become like the idols they worship. In verses 19-21, praise the Lord.

I need to praise God more

I need to tear down my idols.

In Psalm 136, I am thankful that God is all that I need. In verses 1-3, God is goodness love and power. In verses 4-9, everything was designed, created and crafted by God. In verses 10-12, because of His love, he rescues Israel. In verses 13-14, parts Red Sea for Israel. In verse 15, describes sweeping away the enemy. In verses 16-19, God leads, protects and loves. In verses 20-21, God obtains Israel’s land. In verse 22, God provides for the inheritance His servants needs. In verses 23-25, He frees those shackled and lowly, and feed all the creatures. In verse 26, thank God for His love.

God needs to be first in my life always.

I should be thankful toward God.

I need to be thankful for God’s creation.

I need to desire God’s Lordship over my life.

I should always be thankful for the food that is provided.

Mostly I should be thankful for God’s love.

In Psalm 128, those with a heart that fears God are blessed. In verse 1, with Godly fear you know where to walk. In verses 2-4, those that are blessed fear the Lord. In verses 5-6, in this way, all your days become blessed.

I need to have a true fear of God daily.

I need to remember it is all about God’s way.

In Psalm 129, God rights the wrongs. In verses 1-4, while at times we can feel oppressed we are never lost. In verses 5-8, haters of Zion will be turned back.

I should allow God center stage in my life.

I need to ask God to correct things.

I should never forget that it is only God who is my source of righteousness.

In Psalm 130, God is the redeemer. In verses 1-2, God hear my cries to Him. In verses 3-4, God offers chances for sinner like me. In verses 5-6, I will be willing to wait on the lord with all hope. In verses 7-8, it is God who will redeem Israel.

I should always be thankful for God’s forgiveness.

I should be sorrowful for each and every one of my sins.

I am thankful for God’s love.

In Psalm 131, my hope should rest in the Lord. In verses 1-2, the Lord stills and quiets my soul. In verse 3, I can hope in the Lord.

My hope needs to be upon only the Lord whom I can trust.

Sizes of problems do not matter to God for he can deal with anything in my life.

In Psalm 132, Zion is God’s chosen place. In verse 1, God remembers David. In verses 2-5, God’s work comes before rest. In verses 6-7, let’s worship at God’s footstool. In verses 8-9, give the Lord his place. In verse 10, never reject the anointed of God. In verses 11-12, the promise of throne inheritance is conditional only. In verses 13-15, Zion was God’s choice. In verse 16, Zion shall sing with joy. In verses 17-18, an aide was given David.

I need to give God His place.

I need to have the desire to follow God covenants.

I need to project and feel the joyfulness from God.

In Psalm 133, there is much goodness from unity. In verses 1-3, there is goodness in unity.

I need to develop unity with my brothers and sisters in Christ.

In Psalm 134, God blesses those that praise Him. In verses 1-2, praise God. In verse 3, the Lord blesses.

I need to forever praise God!

It can be utterly amazing to see how strong someone’s faith can be. There is a dear sister in Christ I know that is working in Africa far from any medical facilities. She just recently incurred a very serious hand injury. It is so difficult to totally understand the emotions she is facing, but at the same time, in her emails she is steadfast in trusting God for strength and healing. So, it is, well within God’s grasp and power to deal with this situation. This reminds me of how rapidly I may seek after human solutions and resources so quickly here in the US where they are readily available, and forget to lean on God’s provisions. So, it garners the question as to who is richer in their experience.

This is a subtle reminder to me of how it is said the wealth can weaken one’s faith in God. It is so easy to forget that at the bottom line, it truly is all about God. It is indeed nothing more and nothing less.

I am filled with joy over this day that was set aside in remembrance of God the Father taking on the flesh of a man in the form of Christ the Son. The great mystery is the limitless power God has to do the same thing He has done in my life to all that believe. For me, my life is all about Christ. The same can happen to you! In verses 57-58, God is indeed gracious to me. In verses 59-60, best to be obedient to God. In verse 61, despite environment, I remember your laws. In verses 62-64, the closeness of likeminded fellowship. In verse 65, I am asking for good treatment from God. In verse 66, I desire knowledge and good judgment. In verse 67-68, at one time I strayed, but now I obey. In verses 69-72, I stand despite the lies about me. In verse 73, you help me to have an understanding. In verses 74-80, fellowship allows for rejoicing and strengthening of all involved. In verses 81-88, reminds how and what we long, look and wait for. In verses 89-96, there is a need for God’s protection. In verse 97, there is a desire to meditate on the law of God. In verses 98-104, commands should be meditated on and then obeyed. In verse 105, God’s word provides direction, vision and safety. In verses 106-111, take oaths with God seriously. In verse 112, always have a want to keep decrees. In verse 113, have a total distaste for the double mined man. In verses 114-120, when there is hope there is true life. In verses 121-123, desire God’s promise of salvation. In verse 124, I want God to deal with me in terms of His love. In verses 125-126, I must have discernment to operate. In verses 127-128, I have hatred toward wrong life paths. In verses 129-131, God’s word helps those that are simple minded. In verse 132, I’m forever in the need of God’s mercy. In verses 133-136, I need God’s power to obey. In verses 137-144, God’s laws and precepts can be trusted. In verses 145-147, when talking to God we can trust he hears. In verses 148-150, God’s promises deserve to be meditated upon. In verses 151-152, God’s statutes are forever. In verses 153-154, there exists need for God’s support. In verses 155-160, God’s vision is the best. In verses 161-167, God’s laws deserve our praise. In verse 168, God is fully aware of our actions. In verses 169-171, we should cry, petition and praise our great God. In verses 172-174, our songs to God should be filled with delight. In verses 175-176, I’m grateful the Lord looks for his lost sheep and found me.

I need God’s help to be blameless.

I need to hide God’s word within my heart to stay strong.

I need to remain always teachable that I may forever grow.

I must always seek and give to others truth.

I need to tell others about God.

I need to give much praise always toward God.

I need greater levels of discernment.

I don’t need lies that throw me off course.

I need to understand the laws that are from God to guide my life.

I need to hate that which yields double mindedness.

I need to move in a direct path that God gives me.

I need to empower the ability to be obedient to God.

I need God’s mind to delight in His laws.

I need God to preserve my life.

I need God’s compassion to be more compassionate to others.

I need to extend the peace of God to others.

In Psalm 120, God not only hears prayer, but He acts. In verses 1-2, God responds to prayer. In verses 3-4, liars will be punished. In verses 5-7, I have lived near lovers of war too long.

I need to identify lies better.

I need to avoid war mongering.

I need to become a man of peace.

In Psalm 121, God is a tireless protector and helper. In verse 1, where do I look for help? In verse 2, my help comes from my creator. In verses 3-4, God keeps his watch care without requiring sleep. In verses 5-6, the Lord is like my shade. In verse 7, God does protect. In verse 8, God is constantly with us.

I need to look to God for my help.

I need God as my protection.

In Psalm 118, God means everything to me. In verse 1, I am thankful for God's love. In verses 2-4, let’s hear it, “The Lord’s love endures forever.” In verse 5, God frees from anguish. In verse 6, Lord is close and with me. In verse 7, I triumph enemies with Lord’s help. In Verses 8-9, no better refuge than God. In verses 10-12, God stops those that surround me. In verse 13-14, God is my strength, song and salvation. In verses 15-16, great joy from God. In verses 17-18, God will not kill me. In verses 19-21, God’s salvation opens the door of righteousness for me. In verse 22, that which was rejected is now honored. In verses 23-24, God made the day. In verses 25-27, those who honor God are blessed. In verse 28, I will thank and exalt God. In verse 29,I am so thankful for God’s great love.

I need the Lord to help me in numerous situations.

I am thankful in all God does.

In Psalm 116, I am very thankful for the love, protection and liberty I have from God. In verses 1-2, I shall call upon the Lord. In verses 3-4, the situation is one of trouble and sorrow. In verse 5, the Lord is gracious and compassionate. In verse 6, Lord protects the simple-hearted like me. In verse 7, my soul can rest in God’s goodness. In verses 8-10, God gives comfort and protection. In verse 11, most all men are liars. In verses 12-14, I will fulfill vows. In verses 15-16, Lord can free. In verse 17, I’ll give offering of thanks. In verses 18-19, I’ll fulfill vows made to God.

I should be very thankful.

I need to call upon the Lord throughout my day.

I should indeed be at rest.

I need to follow through on my duties I owe God.

I should fulfill duties in public as well.

I need to love God greater than I do now.

In Psalm 117, Praise a God who is both loving and faithful. In verses 1-2, speaks of God’s love and faithfulness.

I shall praise God for His love.

In Psalm 114, we can expect big changes with God. In verses 1-2, Judah is God's sanctuary. In verses 3-4, changes occur to the landscape. In verses 5-6, what causes these changes? In verses 7-8, the author of the change is God.

Lord changes me in the way I need changing.

In Psalm 115, God provides help, shield and blessings. In verse 1, to God is the glory. In verses 2-3, others ask, “Where is God?” In verses 4-8, they want God to be like their idols made by human hands. In verses 9-11, God is a help and shield. In verse 12, the Lord blesses his people. In verse 13, God blesses all classes of people. In verses 14-15, God will provide the increase. In verses 16-18, praise God.

I need to avoid idols.

I need to look toward God.

I need to ask God for blessings.

I need to fear God more.

I need to seek God as my help and shield.

In Psalm 112, we fear God by remaining steadfast, being generous and just. In verse 1, fearing God leads to having great delight in His commands. In verses 2-4, it’s wonderful to remember God’s works. In verse 5-6, those that are generous and those that are righteous are remembered long. In verses 7-9, the righteous have nothing to fear. In verse 10, the wicked one’s longing come to waste.

I need to delight greater in God’s commands.

I should desire to be more steadfast.

I should desire to give more for the poor.

In Psalm 113, give praise to a God who truly cares. In verses 1-6, give praise to a mighty powerful God. In verses 7-9, God reaches out to those that are left out and do without.

I need to reach out and help those that God intends for me to help.

In verses 4-9, God always provides for needs. In verses 10-12, darkness and gloom apart from God. In verses 13-14, God can free people from darkness and gloom. In verses 15-16, God deserves all thanks for that. In verse 17, the suffering can be great from rebellion. In verse 18, the suffering brings you to death's door. In verses 19-22, thank God that he is willing and able to heal them. In verses 23-27, within the sea, great sea merchants fear for their lives. In verses 18-31, God arrives with calm for them. In verse 32, Always give God the credit He deserves. In verses 33-37, God can make that which appears to be a waste into something fruitful. In verse 38, God blesses by increasing the population. In verses 39-42, God comes to the aid of the afflicted. In verse 43, the wise prefer God's love.

I need God to remove my rebellious spirit.

I need God's calm in my life.

In Psalm 108, Praise God for only He can empower. In verses 1-3, we need to keep praising and singing to our God. In verses 4-5, God’s love and faithfulness is unlimited. In verses 6-9, God rescued and gave a place for His people to land. In verses 10-11, within my heart and the writer’s is the desire for God to still lead. In verses 12-13, remember that all good victories come from God.

I need to be more steadfast.

I need to be more faithful in all parts of my life.

I need to be open to God’s leadership.

I need to reduce my dependence on man’s system.

I shall seek to praise God more often.

In Psalm 109, God pays back our enemy for us for He loves the poor and needy. In verses 1-5, God is able to back us up. In verses 6-9, the enemy is condemned. In verses 10-13, the enemies next generation loses their inheritance and is condemned. In verses 14-15, the enemy will die with no memorial. In verses 16-17, they have been unkind and cursing. In verse 18, curing has spread into their body. In verses 19-20, these enemies will be paid back. In verses 21-25, I come needy toward God and he responds with love. In verses 26-29, God sends blessings and shame to the correct recipients. In verses 30-31, God saves the needy one.

I want to keep communications open with God.

I need God to stop the enemies in my life.

I need to demonstrate kindness to others.

I need God’s spirit to remove any cursing in my life.

May my enemy see that all is delivered from God.

I need God to supply all I lack in my life.

In Psalm 110, it is a reminder of the position and power of God. In verse 1, Jesus sits to God’s right hand. In verses 2-3, indeed he sits in a special position. In verse 4, Lord will never lose His position. In verses 5-7, the day of wrath is to come.

I will keep within my heart a desire to be in support of side of the Lord.

I need likewise to hold my position toward God.

In Psalm 111, God is our great, immutable, holy and compassionate redeemer. In verse 1, all I can say is praise the Lord. In verses 2-7, God actions show trustworthiness and compassion. In verses 8-9, God shows his immutability. In verse 10, following God is what yields great wisdom.

I need to take time to ponder God’s greatness.

I need to honestly fear God.

I need to place total trust in God.

In Psalm 112, fear a God that is steadfast, generous and just. In verse 1, those fearing and delighting in God are indeed blessed. In verses 2-4, God does respond with great works. In verses 5-6, God wants His people to be generous and righteous. In verses 7-9, those that are righteous have nothing to fear. In verse 10, those that remain wicked will lie in waste.

I need to delight more in God’s commands.

In Psalm 105, we should allow God's plans to prevail. In verses 1-4, it is important that we give thanks, praise and tell others about the abilities and affects of God in our lives. In verses 5-6, God applies both judgment and miracles which are for the benefit of His chosen. In verse 7, God is the judge over the entire earth. In verses 8-11, God stands by His covenants. In verse 12, God’s chosen started small without land. In verses 13-15, although they were homeless, God provided for their needs. In verses 16-22, when in great need, God brought them into Egypt. In verses 23-27, God blessed, but they were still hated. In verses 28-30, it became costly for those who rebel at God. In verses 31-34, rebellion ends with destruction. In verse 35, the vegetables were destroyed. In verse 36, the firstborn was struck down. In verse 37, God enabled Israel to be both strong and wealthy. In verses 38-39, Egypt gladly let Israel leave. In verses 40-41, because they asked, God provided food and water. In verses 42-43, God never forgot His promises in all this. In verses 44-45, God gave land over to His chosen.

In my heart, I need to desire to follow God’s plan for my life.

In Psalms 106, God is merciful even unto death. In verses 1-3, God blesses those that desire righteousness. In verses 4-5, I desire to be treated as one of yours, God. In verses 6-9, undeserved as we are, we can still be saved by God. In verses 10-12, all victories are given by God. In verses 13-15, it is costly to forget God. In verses 16-18, envy carries a heavy cost. In verse 19, misguided leaders create their own idols of worship. In verse 20, glory is given to the idol. In verses 21-23, Moses prevent God’s wrath from taking place. In verse 24, the people lacked trust in God. In verses 25-27, disobedience ultimately led to their downfall. In verses 28-31, later, Phimehas had to intervene to stop the plague. In verse 32, problems came because of provoking the Lord. In verse 33, this brought out rash words from Moses. In verses 34-37, they flirted dangerously with foreign influence. In verses 38-39, they even shed the blood of their children to the foreign Gods. In verse 40, God’s anger arose. I want to allow my prayers to be heard.

God is great to answer prayers.

In Psalm 104, the buck stops with God. In verses 1-4, nothing like the power of God. In verses 5-7, God can create and control. In verses 8-9, the flood was for one time. In verses 10-12, God provides springs of water for life. In verses 13-18, God is pro-life. In verses 19-23, God has his hand on the daily cycle. In verses 24-26, the entire creation shows God’s wisdom. In verses 27-29, God interacts directly to his creation. In verse 30, God’s spirit creates anew. In verses 31-32, God’s glory is forever. In verse 33, sing to God. In verses 34-35, my rejoicing is in God.

I should praise God more.

In verses 10-11, a generation has raised God’s anger.

I should be thankful to God.

God needs to be my first priority.

In Psalm 96, we should praise the real God that is capable of judging. In verse 1, let’s sing to God. In verses 2-3, we should be declaring God’s glory. In verses 4-5, worshiping other than God is worshiping an idol. In verse 6, God is majestic and powerful. In verses 7-9, we should ascribe and give to God. In verses 10-13, we should accept God’s judgment as right.

I should do more to declare God to others.

I should increase my faith in God’s absolute strength.

I should prepare for God’s judgment by the way I live.

I should take time to sing to God.

God should be ahead of all things in my life.

In Psalm 97, righteousness and judgment will ultimately win. In verse 1, I am glad that God reigns. In verses 2-3, the enemies of God cannot prevail. In verses 4-5, God’s power is displayed. In verses 6-7, I worship a Holy God. In verses 8-9, God is God above all. In verses10-12, God guards those faithful to Him.

I need to avoid idols.

I need to hate evil.

In Psalm 98, one should respect both God’s judgment and salvation. In verses 1-3, God is faithful with His salvation for us. In verses 4-6, let’s give God both music and song. In verses 7-9, let everything resound to the Judge.

I should be more joyful.

I should tell more people of salvation.

In Psalm 99, we should worship a God that is both just and still forgiving. In verses 1-2, let’s not forget, it is God who is in charge. In verse 3, we should praise God’s name. In verse 4, God knows what is best. In verses 6-7, God selects those to lead and expected to follow God. In verses 8-9, let’s exalt a forgiving God.

I want to adhere to what is right.

I desire to keep all of God’s statutes.

In Psalm 100, a loving and faithful God should be worshiped. In verses 1-2, let’s worship Him gladly and joyfully. In verse 3, we are His that know Him. In verses 4-5, God is loving and faithful forever to all generations to come.

I need to be far more joyful.

In verses 13-14, a feeling of absolute rejection. A feeling of a life filled with death, destruction and loss.

I feel I should regularly be in prayer to God.

In Psalm 89 the rejection of David resulted in wrath. In verses 1-2, a declaration of God’s faithfulness is made. In verse 3, God has a covenant with David. In verse 4, God’s perpetual promise. In verses 5-8, nothing is comparable to God. In verses 9-13, God is powerful and deserves exaltation. In verses 14-18, God is always reliable. In verses 19-20, David raised up by God. In verse 21, God empowers David. In verses 22-29, David is given much earthly respect. In verses 30-37, God is always loving and just while keeping the promise of an enduring line for David. In verses 38-41, David however was rejected. In verses 42-45, the result was things working against David. In verses 46-49, David questions how long will the wrath be. In verses 50-51, God’s servant David is mocked and taunted. In verse 52, praise the Lord God forever for all circumstances.

I need to tell others of God’s love.

I need to rely on God for calmness.

I want much to follow God’s laws because they are best for me.

In Psalm 90, man naturally desires to be of value. In verse 1, the Lord God makes Himself available. In verse 2, God is forever unchanging. In verses 3-6, a man’s life is very short. In verses 7-9, all days can be filled with wrath. In verse 10, however the lifespan is short. In verses 11-12, God imparts wisdom to us. In verses 13-16, writer asks God for better days. In verse 17, the writer wants labor to be fruitful.

I want to be closer to God.

I desire to discard my secret sins.

I must remember that my days are very short.

My days are indeed numbered.

In Psalm 91, those dwelling with God are protected. In verses 1-2, God’s protection can be trusted on. In verses 3-5, God is faithful with His protection. I need to rest in the Lord.

The world seems to be going down into the moral toilet. I am cynical of the coming year. The world has lost the moral compass, because it has been fleeing from God. The solutions are viewed as dangers to society. I have no reason to be discouraged. But, I have all the reason in the world to be cynical of all the world’s leaders. They are bringing in doom to the society, as we know it. The history has been distorted to the children, and they are doomed to repeat past mistakes.

But, I know this. God has the power to change the hearts of men and women, so it is all in His chosen time and purpose for this day of age. God has not changed for the worse; it is the world that has left Him behind.

So, with this in mind, I desire to become ever closer to God then ever. I want to be obedient in ways I never have. This is my personal prayer for 2007.

I need to pray for peace in Israel.

I desire protection for the Jews.

In Psalm 83, sometimes we want God to release His wrath. In verses 1-2, wanting God to act. In verses 3-4, we see enemy destroying a nation. In verses 5-8, enemies plot together. In verses 9-12, they want God’s land. In verses 13-16, we draw close to God. In verse 17, we want enemy to perish. In verse 18, God is over all things.

I want protection for my country.

In verse 69, God builds a new sanctuary. In verses 70-71, David is assigned to be shepherd. In verse 72, David skillfully leads.

I should tell children about God.

Well, at the moment I will be going out of town for training. I pray that God will protect me both physically and spiritually while I am there. At least, it will be somewhere where it will not be colder than where I live. That is no small feat this time of the year. I am grateful of that, since I do not like real cold weather. Seems that when things get more convenient, the less I consider God in choices. In reality, when choices are to be made, I really should be praying and seeking God first. Then, things would be working at their absolute best. Even if it is the less convenient choice, God makes all things for good.

It takes supernatural power to overcome a very strong urge and desire. When God is in it, it can be overcome. I am so grateful, that God does find a way to meet my needs that I may find fulfillment in His ways. And, I think of the times that God generates warning shots to get my attention back upon Him. I am so thankful He has placed His arms around my life, and within them that hedge of protection. I know I don’t deserve it, but His love is incredible.

If we are to really grow spiritually, we must move closer not further from God. That is my personal desire. I pray everyday that our country will turn around, bow low to God, and ask God to forgive us for trying to throw His Son out of our public lives.

We are now drawing closer to the time in which we annually remember the birth of Christ. A child born that would change the world forever, and divide the world between those believing Him, and those not believing him. He would offer so much life to those that would believe in Him. A life forever with Him will be given believers. For Christ is like a light shining within a world of total darkness.

There is nothing greater in my life I can be thankful for this Thanksgiving, than Christ in my life. I hope you have the chance to feel the same way. I am thankful that my wife has stayed with me through the year as well. But, has not always been pleasant. But, I have friends that give me a lift when I am down.

Had a good day today. Well, other than battling an attack of fleas. I think it should abate rather quickly, since there are no outside pets here. The cat is already calming down. Not scratching she, and over the trauma of the shampoo that my wife gave her. This was radical treatment for sure. But, bold fleas demand bold treatment. Fleas are part of the cursed earth.

With the cursed earth any malady can strike at anytime. But, God’s love is always near to bring us through. The unchanging nature of God is my source of stability in an unstable world. He is the Lord God Almighty.

It is important to take time to keep friendships active. Each friend is like a snowflake. Some may be flakier than others, but all have their own unique signature in the universe, never to be duplicated. Some will drift with you, others will float you up, and some will float you down. But, being human, all will suffer eventual meltdown.

Most amazing of all, God keeps up with everyone. Even each person’s hair is numbered.

Medical care is in such an upheaval. Conditions are so incredibly sad when doctors place monetary reward over the actual medical needs of their patients. I say, let’s be imaginative and find ways to increase competition, and not decrease it. Wouldn’t it equate to better care at better prices.

The result implies the importance of Godly prayer before speaking with your doctor. If God is with you, who is it that is able to stand against you. God will limit even what the doctor is able to do to you. There is no better advocate and defender than God himself, and if there are words to be said, He will bring them to mind. Anyway, I do see prayer works well in dealing with doctors.

I need always to be who I am in Christ. It is not always easy. There are far too many times I yield to my feelings rather than who I truly am.

Psalm 38, while sin condemns, if we confess, God will hear our appeals for forgiveness. Verses 1-2, the writer is asking to avoid wrath from sins. Verses 3-4, sin does bare a cost. Verses 5-6, all this ultimately leads to great sorrow. Verses 7-8, tagging along is great pain and a hurting heart. Verses 9-12, without intervention, it becomes a spiral down. Verse 13, the writer is feeling unable to communicate. Verse 14, there is a total breakdown of audio communication. Verses 15-16, please don’t let the enemy gloat over my failing. Verse 17-18, my sin bothers me. Verses 19-20, the enemy takes nips. Verse 21, asking God not to forget. Verse 22, may God arrive to quickly help.

I should thank God that He not places me in His wrath.

I thank God He hears me.

I need to be quicker at confessing sins.

I should ask God to defend me from enemy.

God help me from allowing myself to be frustrated.

Psalm 37 is the promise of inheritance for those that are righteous. Verses 1-2, avoid fretting and envy. Verses 3-4, desire to be a delight to the Lord. Verses 5-6, be totally committed to the Lord. Verse 7, let no events bother, as you wait on the Lord. Verse 8, beware fretting and anger can create evil. Verse 9, there is much gained placing hope in Lord. Verses 10-11, the meek will receive peace. Verse 12, the wicked like to threaten. Verse 13, wicked are God’s laughingstock. Verses 14-15, enemy weapons fail and backfire. Verses 16-17, the Lord supports the righteous. Verses 18-19, God provides for blameless. Verse 20, enemy will be soon gone. Verse 21, those, righteous, are known by generosity. Verse 22, those God chooses will inherit. Verse 23, Lord upholds the righteous. Verse 24, Lord protects from fall. Verse 25, it is God that makes men righteous. Verses 26, blessings given to those that are generous. Verses 27-28, those doing what is good will not be forsaken. Verse 29, land from God is forever. Verses 30-31, righteous understand wisdom and justice. Verse 32-33, the wicked soon pass. Verse 34, the wicked’s land is taken away. Verses 35-36, the wicked will be long gone. Verses 37-38, those at peace have a future. Verses 39-40, only the Lord can save.

I should avoid anger.

I need God to give me greater feeling of hope.

I must desire to be righteous.

I am thankful Jesus knows me by name.

I need to reach greater levels of generosity.

I want always to do that which is good.

I want to be wise.

God’s way should always become my way.

There is nothing better than to be at perfect peace.

I need to quit fretting.

If you haven’t heard, “Your Grace Still Amazing Me”, you are in for a musical treat. Not only is the music forceful and emotional, but also the lyrics cut to the heart. This song serves as awesome reminder of the greatest qualities of our God. The more you know God, the more you want your life to be wrapped up with Him. Music calms the mind like nothing else can.

Each day is a new discovery, as I continue reading God’s word. It’s like unwrapping a gift given in love. But, it’s impossible to repay.

If you speak to me, I am now better able to listen.

I really enjoy listening to good Christian music. There was a time I was a part of a quartette. I’m not sure we were all that great, never made a dime, but doing so put such joy in my heart. Well, goes to show how blessed you are with anything you give to the Lord. Well, however now, I sing with the choir.

I am so thankful that the Lord led me to Vera Dee George. She is so talented, and has helped improve my singing ability. This has been a blessing from God.

No matter how little I may think I have, I am even more grateful. If I consider all the peril those in LA, MS, AL, and western panhandle of FL are facing. I will certainly take hurricane evacuations more seriously.

Well, I ran for the first time today since my surgery, and all seem to go well. I am just beginning to fall back into my normal routine. I’m still not doing things too aggressive at the moment yet.

I need to strive to be right with God, so that the desires of my heart will be given through God. My greatest desire is to have greater understanding of what He wants from me, and what tasks He specifically has in store for me to follow His will for my life.
